Worship:
Thursdays @ 7:00 pm & Sundays @ 9:00 am
We offer traditional and contemporary services. If people are up in the band area as you arrive, it’s likely a contemporary service and all you will need will be provided on the two screens. If things are quiet in the band area, it’s most likely a traditional service where you will use the songbook found in the pew for the liturgy (order of worship) and the hymns we will sing that day.
First Look
It can be uncomfortable to walk into a new church when you don’t know your way around and you don’t know what to expect. We want to make things a bit easier and more comfortable so that you can feel at home at Trinity.
Regardless of which direction you enter, if no one happens to offer you a folded 8.5 x 11 (the bulletin), stop at the small table by the center entrance to the worship area and pick one up. It will tell you what’s going on at Trinity in the next week and beyond. Then, sit wherever you like.
There is an offering gathered during the service. But since you are our guest, feel free to just pass the offering plate to the next person. If you visit on the first Saturday or first Sunday of the month, Holy Communion will be offered as part of our worship. Again, feel free to simply remain seated as others around you go up for Communion. That’s perfectly fine.
Directions & Parking
We want to make it as simple as possible to find the church and to find a place to park. The map and photo below should help you with both our location and parking. Since Athens is a small town, t’s pretty easy to find the church because it’s just behind main street.
Here are the directions, if you prefer the old-style directions.
If you arrive in Athens via Hwy 97 from the south, when it dead ends at a “T” intersection, turn right. Go 2 blocks. You’ll see the Catholic school on your right. Turn left at that intersection and the church is 2 blocks down on your left.
If you arrive using Hwy 97 from the north, just after you cross the bridge, turn right. Two blocks down will be Caroline Street. Turn left and you will see parking on the east and north sides and also a parking lot on the northwest corner of the building.
Diagonal parking is available on the east side of Caroline street which is on the east side of the church with parallel parking on the west side of Caroline. There is also street parking on the north side and a parking lot on the north side about 75 yards from the north entrance.
