Welcome!
Here’s a brief glance at our Childcare and our perspective regarding caring for your child. We see our care of your child as vitally important and we take our responsibility seriously as we do all we can for your child while you are unable to be with them.
Exciting News!
We hope to be in our new facility next door by the end of the summer.
Core Building Blocks
During the time your child is at our Childcare, we can’t do everything we might like to do on your behalf as a substitute parent. Even so, we’re committed to doing what we see as core building blocks, things we feel a child should learn about and learn how to display toward others. Our list isn’t comprehensive, but it does give you a sense of the direction we are intending to go during Childcare.
Love
We want your kids to know beyond any doubt that they are loved by people beyond their parents, even when they mess up. At the same time, we want them to learn to be loving, kind, and caring toward others and to see the benefits of those actions.
Jesus
A little coffee and a whole lot of Jesus - I’ve seen it on coffee cups, but at Childcare, our goal is to help your kids learn about Jesus as their best Friend, someone they can always talk to and who will always listen. Not pushy stuff, just gentle awareness of Jesus and His love for them.
Respect
Where has respect gone? There’s a shortage and we are doing our part to increase the respect quota. We show respect to your kids and for their feelings as we encourage them and help them learn how to respect others, their opinions, and their feelings.
All we do is done for the love of kids!
Teamwork
Me, myself, and I - Those can be popular words among kids, but, through different types of interaction, we help kids realize that working together benefits everybody! We also make a point of demonstrating teamwork as we, the staff, work together on activities with the kids.
Listen
Most like to talk and don’t always realize the value of listening. During our time together, kids learn to listen and learn that it’s important to listen. We also do our best to teach kids the value of listening and obeying. By listening first and then obeying, life is more enjoyable for them.
Social Skills
As we see it, kids need to have opportunity to interact, to learn basic social skills that will prove useful throughout their lives. So, those things that fall into the basic social skills category are the things we encourage and allow kids to learn by self-discovery.
